gehl 1070 moco

local dealer has a gehl 1070 moco was going to go take a look up close. he is a gehl dealer, so i would assume you can still get parts for it? anyone ever own one of these, if so good points bad points. i would rather have/wait for a nh or jd moco, or disc.

I have a gehl 1090 and getting parts is easy. Similar models, good haybine.

From what I understand Gehl is still providing parts support on the ag line of equipment. I have not heard when that will be discontinued.

Yes, Gehl is still providing parts for their ag equipment. You can go to Gehls site and they have a link to find dealers for Gehl parts still.

I have a Gehl discbine and it has been a good machine. I would have bought another Gehl cutter to replace this one when its time if they were still in the ag business.

Does anyone know where I can obtain a conditioning roller for my Gehl 1070 moco. Mine has came apart and the machine itself is in excellent condition and has always been shedded.

Go to Gehls site and look up which dealers stock ag parts and contact one of them.

The Gehl dealers all say Gehl no longer even has a price for that part in their system. I'm trying to locate an individual or implement salvage yard with one.

Ok, is it a steel roll with rubber on it or is it the laminated roller?

It's bare steel without rubber. Only the bottom roller is laminated on this model.

Does anyone know if Gehl made these mower conditioners under any other brand names that I could get the top roller of off. I'm guessing that my steel top roller was supposed to have a rubber cover on it. If so it was missing when I bought the machine. The rest of the machine is in excellent shape as I'm the 2nd owner and it had been stored in a barn when not in use so it's worth repairing. Any help would be appreciated greatly.I would really like to find a used roller if possible. Thanks

Does the top roller have the chevron design in it? If so then it should be steel only.
