Gearbox/axle oil seal

I'm getting a bit of a drip from the right hand side rear axle where it joins the transmission box. I guess the oil seal needs replacing.

Do you have to remove the side plate from the transmission case to then get the axle out to replace this seal or is there an easier way?

I Had the right rear wheel seal replaced on my TYM 433 and they hade to remove tire and wheel disassemble right side rear axle and replaced a new internal nut and gasket and new seal ended up costing me over $800.00 dollars for this repair also the fluids refilled and filter changed



Not a cheap repair also they found small metal shaving in oil and a metal pin in oil ... they wasent sure of where this was from but they said the could fix it but it would be around $7000.00 dollars to fix and 2 weeks to do the job

Sounds like they plan on making a goods weeks pay. Not knowing what they are looking for but know it will be expensive.
I just bought a used Mahindra 2565 cab shuttle. The only thing that is not TYM is the engine and the front grill emblem. I have been buying things to make it 100% and I find the prices through my Mahindra dealer to be quite high. Probably true with any of these compact tractors.
