You have something new to add then go for it.

My, my, a bit touchy today aren't we?

FWIW, I was not referring specifically to your post. I was referring to the extensive drift onto cars and their automated options in a thread about gear or hydrostatic transmissions in compact tractors.

I am not sure how many the 2008 Dodge ram has, but it is several.

I'd be hard pressed to name a single function it performs without input from a computer. Maybe honking the horn?

Maybe, but I wouldn't even bet the farm on that.

After reading the last three pages I think I get the popularity of hydrostatic.

That's because it's the best thing out there. :)

You realize your vehicles operate by a computer right?

Yes I do and the computer and its components have been the only thing to give me any problems at all. The jeep has no computer in it at all because I got rid of it years ago after it left me stranded with a crank sensor failure!

Actually lifting the arm rest without the computer knowing would probably be about the only thing not tied into a computer somehow. Its the only thing that hasn't any kind of a wire attached that I can think of off the top of my head. Its still a nice truck and I have to live with it because I need at least one truck for pulling and that Cummings really does a nice job when you want to get some thing heavy rolling!
