GC2610 in stock!

Hi,Chuck,I didn't mean to direct my reply just at you.Didn't know if you were making a comment or just discusted with tractor buying. I do see where a larger series could be bought for a little more money. Depends on which machine is most in demand at the time. I had a GC2310 for two years,my jobs were getting bigger, needed quicker machine with more capacity, so I traded up to a 1531,dealer made it into a TLB package for me. When I bought my 2500HD,the smaller Chevy Colorado was almost the same price as the HD,probably more now that gasoline mileage is a priority. I see you had a Kubota in your avaitar,a few of my neighbors have them, mostly BX series, one just traded up to a larger KubotaTLB ,he's been checking out my Massey. plowking

No offense taken. :) :) Just clarifying that I think the GC series are good tractors, and any one of them could be the best choice for someone else in the right situation.

I don't know why my bad post with the wrong math got posted. So disregard the 2nd post.

The price on the GC2610 currently with the Massey instant rebate, and the special we are running is $16,950.00 with all rebates and discounts applied. Price is good until 6/27/08!

Depends on how many hours are on other used 2310's in your area. I traded in a '06' 2310 with 500 hours on it. I think I got around 11000.00 for it. I traded to a 1531 with a backhoe, loader. I can actually check my paperwork to be more specific. Mine was in pretty good shape and kept up on the maintence. Don't know what I would have got trading to a 2410 or 2610. Used 2310's in my dealer's yard have lower hours then mine. plowking

The engine in the GC2610 produces more horsepower because it's rated at a higher RPM than the GC2410. Otherwise, they are the same tractor.

Doesn't any engine give more hp at a higher rpm? They both have the same displacement. Is it the same block, head, etc. Why does one run at a higher rpm?

I think it's just a marketing strategy to create two products out of one. Someone correct me, if there is some other major difference in the engine, if I'm wrong on this.

Wouldn't be the first time. Kubota takes the 23, from the B2320 for example, spins it up and calls it a 26 in the BX. Same Kubota D1005 engine. Doing it within the same series is a new twist, however.
