Just got my new tractor the hour gauge was at 1.1 when it arrives and the hour gauge stop working at 1.7 The rpm gauge will not move either. Anyone seen this before?

If it's like the gc2300 there's a cable that runs down from the hr/rpm gauge to the motor[it may have broke/defective]I think new tractor you'd have called the Dealer as soon as it happened.Thats what I'd have done.Larry

The exact thing happened to me. The tach is mechanically driven and on mine there was a kink in the cable which caused the internal drive cable to snap. The dealer came out to my house and replaced asap. The tech mentioned that he hasn't seen one routed like it was before so maybe a new guy at the plant ran routed a couple wrong. The dealer said it was not an issue for me to continue using the tractor withoiut the tach working, so I got a couple of "free" hours on it.

Thanks I pulled the end of the cable off and found the cable was broke dealer is ordering asap.
