I made these for my B7800 and my BX2660. The B7800 stays on all the time, the BX I have to take it off when using the mower deck. There is only 1 bolt for mounting it. The B7800 I have 3 bolts holding it on. I wanted you to see how I put the kickers in, makes for a strong step.
These are used on fire trucks to climb on top when loading hose. They flip up when not in use and bolt on. In your case you may have to add a piece of flat plate to mount it at the height you need. They are around $30.00 on eBay for stainless, the black one I found online at Walmart for $9.00, search folding step.
