If anyone has this combination, please comment on if you had to trim the pto shaft that came with it and by about how much? Thanks.

From what I have been told by my dealer, KK is only providing one length shaft which usually requires trimming (he also said others are doing this) in a subcut application. I know for sure the shaft that came with the 60" KK (I borrowed my brother's) and my Woods tiller required trimming by about 3 or 4" (1.5 - 2" on each end). Just takes a vise and a hacksaw (I used my sawzall) and a few minutes.

The minumum amout of overlap is 6" when the implement is in the operating position. Cut tubes so you get as much engagement (overlap) as possible with out the male and female halves bottoming out when the implement is raised in the transport position.

Had to do this for my Gearmore tiller/rock locator. Hacksaw worked, Sawzall would have been easier. Check KK specs on required overlap between the two shafts.
