Mowing GC2310/2310 54" Mulch mower

The way I understand what the wheels are used for is to stop you from cutting up your lawn (anti-scuff). I don't have a deck on my 1533, but on my baby lawn tractor I have always had the wheels just "below" the lowest part of the deck. When making sharp turns the wheels take over and stop the deck from touching the lawn... Right or wrong, that is what I do and it works well.

EDIT... I should also say, the wheels do not touch the ground at all, unless they contact for what ever reason.

I think that I was quoted around 2200 for the 54" mulching deck and 2100 for the 60" non-mulching deck from a dealer here in Western PA. I thought that was high, the 60" in WV was 1700. That's why I bought in WV.

Search the old posts. Someone used some short chains to suspend the front of his 60" mower. Do you ever worry that being concerend about lines in your grass is a bit ****?

LOl, ya that is a LITTLE ****.... but hey, when it looks like a golf green it makes you feel good ! This mulch mower definetely makes a nice cut, you just have to cut it a bit more often so the grass does not get to high.
