Thank you for the website. It was encouraging to see some stuff that would work after finding so many that would not! I didn't order from them because I'm Canadian and getting stuff from the US can be difficult/costly/slow. I ended up contacting mytractor.ca and asking if they had one. They didn't have one on ebay, but when I emailed they were able to confirm they had one. I purchased the one that had a body of 11 1/8". I called them in the PM, and I had in in the PM two days later for $50 and change including shipping. It's pretty rare in Canada to get that kind of service at that price, so I thought I would make others aware of it.
Massey wanted over $300 for the turnbuckle and one of the threaded ends (I could re-use one of the threaded ends, but not the other).
The thread on the new top link is heavier, so I don't anticipate breaking it. I like the locking mechanism better because it doesn't require wrenches to loosen a jamb nut. The turnbuckle is lighter than the Massey. Hopefully that isn't a problem. I had to do about 1 minute of grinding to make the end piece fit inside the clevice on the Massey because it was a bit too wide. I'm very happy so far!
