Looking for SCUT
Long Time Lurker, First Time Poster.

I am in the market for a subcompact and have settled on the GC1725MB for a host of reasons (capabilities, dealer, budget)

I am curious on the buying process. Do the dealer's normally negotiate? Do they normally discount from MSRP? Are prep fees normal?

Here is what I was quoted.

MSRP - $21,776 + $816 Prep fee - $22,594

0% Financing with Cashback $21,944 - I was expecting a little more of a discount (Beyond the MF Rebate) between MSRP and 0% price.
Cash $19,907

This is in New England, where everything seems to be more expensive.

Tractor House has the prices ranging from $18,500 to $22,000

I guess I was expecting the 0% quote to be a discounted beyond the cashback that AGCO was offering.

Thanks for your input

My experience when buying my GC1720 a couple of years ago is that the price is very much negotiable. Basically up to you to use your computer to check competitive pricing and make an offer. Don’t like to compare tractor dealers to car dealers but they are similar in that they would rather sell you a tractor at a higher and more profitable price, if you are willing to pay it, so their initial price is not necessarily the lowest price they will sell you the tractor for. Also, they did not add on any dealer prep charge.

And, of course, a week after you buy it you will find a better deal.

That says 'find another dealer' and/or brand. I paid (am paying) about $4,000 less than that including the MMM and Tiller.

Diggin It - Just to so I have the numbers straight. You are paying approx $18,500 for a GC1725MB with tiller and MMM. Is this the cash price or 0% price?

Thanks

For this price, we need to know what comes with it, like a mid mount mower, etc.

Nope. Looked at that one, went with the better value LS MT125 and without the '0%' scam back built into the price. Got a variable rate from an AG lender which is now at 2.49%

I prefer honest numbers, not smoke and mirror tricks.

One thing I can never remember about the MF is whether or not the BH and MMM can be mounted at the same time. Some brands can, others cannot.

Polarred - That price is for the tractor, loader, and backhoe

The Massey 0% financing is just a scam. You get a lower purchase price if you get your own financing. I told them no thanks I'll get my own financing.

MaineGuy- I completely agree the 0% is just paying the interest but including it in the sales price.

I am more thinking that the price for the Tractor, Loader, Backhoe is on the high side.
The Cash price
