GC 2400 lift arms won't go down...help!

I took off my back blade, lifted the 3pt arms and locked them in the up position with the drop dial in the front of the seat. A few hours later I went to put on my rake and I couldn't get the arms to drop. I released the lock valve/dial, hit the control lever and no go. When I pushed the lever to lift it sounded like it was working but the arms were are stuck in the max up position.

I checked the linkage and it looks like the stop/set nuts are out of whack. I have attached a picture. Could this be my issue? If so how do I reset these, how much spring pressure?

Any help would be appreciated.

did you step on the lower links, (put some weight on them) they just drop by gravity, now they should drop by their own weight, but might be a little balky, I would try to step on them and see if they go down, and assuming you "loosend" the drop rate valve, not tightend it? just saying..I guess one question I would have is why did you tighten the valve in the first place after you took the blade off? But at any rate, lower the lift, make sure the valve is open, (counterclockwise) and go step on the arms. Tell us what happened

I'll give it a shot but i think there is a linkage issue as well. The lever has play in it and it doesn't return to center.

Did you happen to check out the linkage on the lever.What I mean by this is that on the lever the rod that runs to the hydralic control there's a small pin with a hairpin holding the pin onto the shaft.By any chance has that small pin come out.Larry
