Gator Made trailers, Anyone know of them?

I'm looking at purchasing a 16ft landscape trailer and came across a 16ft Gator Made trailer that seems very reasonable in price. Before I commit to travel to see it and would like know if anyone is familiar with them? Quality? Finish? This is a new trailer for $1850. It has a rear mesh gate, side rails and axle brakes.

Gator Made is very popular around here because they are built just south of us in Kentucky. There have been some issues with not being fully painted underneath and shoddy wiring. I would check it out fully before paying your $$$$. All in all they are a great trailer and a lot of bang for your buck.

I've got an '08 16+2. It is a very heavy made trailer for only rated at 7000 lbs. Mine came with brakes on both axles and all LED lights. Ramps are easy to use the way the are stored under the rear of the trailer.

I've bought a small cheap tool box that I want to mount to the toungue to hold chains and binders. I also want to mount a couple of tongue jacks to the rear for when loading the tractor. I found a good deal on a used electric tongue jack for $50. I installed that and I love that.

I've hauled gravel, sand, drywall, my tractor, a Ford Ranger, and several loads of lumber on it. It pulls great. The ramps are easy to use. No problem with the lights or paint - other than it scratches when you scrape something across it. I've touch it up a few times, but I need to do it again.

Same price I got quoted down here in PA. I don't know much about them either and the Gator Made web site has no specs. listed. It's a 2 hour or so trip to the dealer I got a quote from.

My dealings were with a gooseneck only. I think the tag trailers are put on a spit of some sort and turned upside down to be painted.

Well, I ended up passing on the Gator and purchased a Belmont 616-TA. I purchased it for $2600. For the quality of the trailer I thought it was a very good price. Yes, the Gator was $1850 but the Belmont seemed much better built. I like the extra length of the split gate, set back drop leg jack, teardrop fenders and recessed (weatherproof) lighting.
