Gator made tailer

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a gator made trailer premier car hauler wondering if you guys have any experience with gator made? Before we go for a 13 hour drive one way to go pick it up! Thanks guys

There is a lot of info on this site already on Gatormade. Some people have a lot bad to say about them. I bought 5 of them a few years back. I sold 4 locally and I was able to cover the cost of my trailer with the profit I made from the other 4.

My biggest complaint is the paint. After 3 years and maybe 1000 miles, (never in the snow/salt) there is way more rust than there should be. I have some experience on the topic of paint. It looks like some cheap alkyd enamel, no primer and no surface prep.

The ramps are a tradeoff. If they made them so they wouldn't bend, then people would complain they weigh too much. It didn't take long for me to bend mine.

The wiring is questionable with all the Scotch locks, but mine is still working.

I like my trailer, but the fact that it is going to be a complete rust bucket after several years and limited use really irritates me.

Ya I heard that they got better in the last couple years so I'm looking for new reviews if you know what I mean! But thanks for the info

I have dealt with them for a number of years. They are without a doubt the most bang for the buck in a trailer. There were issues a few years back but have been better as of late.

I just got a Kaufman trailer used but it is a 2013. It is very nice, I really like it. The prices on the new ones are really good too. They will deliver the trailer to you but it may be cheaper to pick it up.

I forgot they made enclosed trailers. They look nice from the pictures and their description makes them sound good.

I would not say they are quality. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give them a 5 or 6. Not bashing them, just what they are at that price point. My personal trailer is not a GM and I give it a 4 or 5. I deal in trailers and I knew what I was getting when I bought it.

It comes with a door put it's to pull snowmobiles and our can am maverick witch is really high so we got it custom

It only takes me 45 minutes to get to the Gatormade plant from where I live. I will not defend their reputation but will say that paint is a common weak area with more trailer makes than not.

I drove 5 hours to Lexington NC last year to buy a Kaufman , best trailer I ever had and everyone that sees it wants one .

Last week had my new Kaufman delivered to my home. First trailer I ever bought unseen. Very satisfied with complete trailer. No regrets, nothing but praise. Spare tire was forgotten, called salesman, and UPS delievered four days later. Very impressive! Paint, tire dates, wiring, jack and all other items above my expectations. This is my second tilt bed and I will never look back at ramp trailers. If you own a tilt bed you know what I am talking about. Kaufman quaility is first rate in my book. Lot of trailer for the money.
