gator 650 smokes

I was changing oil and filter on my 07 jd xuv 650, and poured about 2 1/2 quarts of oil in. Then I realized it needs only about 1 1/3 qt. I did run the engine for about 30 seconds to get the oil in the filter. Then I drained the excess to the proper level. Since then the xuv smokes from the exhaust pipe. I was wondering what hapenned? Any clue?

It probably pulled oil into the intake through the crankcase vent, now it's burning that oil. It should clear up after a while.
