gas vs pneumatic rock drill

hey everyone. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with gas vs pneumatic rock drills. i have about two weeks worth of holes to drill for expanding grout in some granite bedrock for a driveway expansion. i can buy a gas powered 60 lb pionjar for about 1k, or rent the pneumatic setup for about 3k. Initially it seems like a no brainier but i thought i should see if the gas powered one is going to suit my needs. Thanks....

many years ago i used a gas powered rock drill on large granite rocks ,,approx 1.25 inch holes worked great

still have rocks on shoreline with holes i drilled 50 years ago
