gas running out of Kawasaki 300 Prarie

My Kawasaki is about 7 years old and recently it started leaking gas out of somewhere on the engine. It stopped leaking when I brought it home and has started again. It looks like it is running out of the air intake. I am thinking stuck float. Does this make sense. I am not a small engine mechanic, but I can learn. Any advice appreciated.

Just repaired my '99 bayou 220. It was leaking gas out of the overflow tube from the carb. Thought at first it was a stuck float, but turned out to be the needle valve in the carb was leaking and not stopping the gas flow into the bowl. Replaced both the valve and the valve seat and it fixed the problem. Had to buy the whole carb repair kit for $20 just to get the parts I needed. Pretty straight forward repair in the end. It may be the same with your 300. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. I will pick up a carb kit before I start.
