Gas gauge quit

I ran the 225 until it was almost out of fuel, when I filled it up the next day, I got nothing. I thought it would start working as the day went on ,but nothing. I have to believe it is a stuck sensor. What do I do?

I'm not familiar with the "Cats", but if you remove the fuel cap and fill screen, you should be able to see into the tank. Looking into the tank you should see the gauge float, bobbing on top of the fuel;if not I'd straighten a metal coat hanger, put a hook at one end and fish around the bottom of the tank. Should you contact anything, "gently pull up the fish" ;the float may be binding in the lower position. If you can see the float on top of the fuel, disregard this suggestion

Drove out a tank of gas with the gauge not working. I filled it up this morning and all is back to normal.

Please say fuel or desiel. I don't think your tractor would like gas. :laughing:

Actually... "diesel".

Gas ,diesel,kero,cooking oil,paint thinner. I just use whatever I have thats handy.

Pulled my in-tank sending unit out when my fuel guage would'nt work , and found it was rusted to death. Replaced it under warranty and fuel guage was back in business!
