garden tractor loader

hi,
having visited and talked to john from cad plans, the attachment you will get the plans for, will be exactly what your tractor is rated at. john is a graduate eng. has had a stunt in the navy as a welder and worked as a maintenance guy on a large farm.

i attempted to make some modifications and john made it clear to me that that was not suitable for that particular application and would not change the plans.

in an other situation for an addl. fee he modified the plans because i needed more ground speed but less tork.

the cad software that all these plans are coming from is very sophisticated and calculates the optimum strength needed for a particular project.

There plans are very expensive also...

You'd be paying for the engineering work involved in the design...reckon the CAD software costs tie in as well. AutoCAD 2000 goes for around $4000. ProE is about two to three times that.

Guess you were thinking about using scrap materials to build the loader...you can, of course.

I didnt know the software was that much and having an engineer design it would probably make it the strongest. i wasnt going to use scrap

As a student, one gets quite a break on the cost of AutoCAD. It drops to around $1000-$1200.

I doubt if your school offers design, but you might want to check out learning this software.

I agree about the JohnnyProducts, rear mount bucket/scoop. John also builds a model for Cat1 3Pt, mine should be delivered today! Here's an interesting link on a front mount design http://www.simpletractors.com/operation/johnny_bucket_jr_.htm

The standard slip scoop / 3pt at TSC is a bit big for smaller tractors....
