I screwed up today and bent the 3/8" thick steel piece that bolts to the front of the frame. Not sure if I can repair it. I've look for a replacement but can't find anything. Any ideas?

Take it to a welding shop.

Repair will surely be less expensive than replace. If you can even find a replacement.

I did the same thing on my mt240. I took the gaurd off and had a helper hold the bent part on an anvil. Then I beat it flat again with a sledge hammer. I did that because I was quoted over 700 for a new one!

I followed your advise and worked with it on an anvil. That got it within an inch of where it needed to be. The left side upright was twisted forward that amount. I then bolted the guard frame upside down on the tractor and with a come-a-long hooked to the backhoe frame, pulled it back so it's equal side to side. Now the hinged guard can move forward and back again. It now just needs to have the two uprights pulled to the middle a little bit and that should do it. A little paint and good to go. Thanks!
