G1800-Still a good choice?

It looks pretty good to me, Steve. It sure is clean. The deck is missing the two front outside rollers, but those should be easy to replace. I'd offer $2500, but I don't think you'd be hurt at his asking price because it is such a low hour machine.

That really is a clean example. With a right-front wheel cover it would look practically new! As a point of reference, I bought my G1900 AWS with just under 2,000 hours for $2k last summer. These things are absolute tanks. Plan on R1 tires out back if you need to mow hills.

Digging up a old thread but I want in. 94 model G1900 I got in February right before Corona hit. Went all through it and here it is. 612 Hrs on meter.

I've been on the lookout for a 4WS Kubota and finally found one in my backyard this weekend. G1800 with only 220 hours! Paint is still bright, looks like it was parked in a garage all the time. I paid $1500, which I thought was a pretty good deal. The deck was rusted and cracked at the right rear wheel. I'm going through it now, already welded up the desk and re-worked the battery cables-- they had been replaced but not with the right parts. It is missing one of the hood bumpers that welds onto the radiator --- not sure what I'm going to do for that yet. It needs new tires too.

Congratulations! Sounds like a good find. How does your G1800S with D662 engine compare to your heavier TG1860 with stronger D722E engine?

The G1800S feels faster and smoother ride, but that may just the newness. I've only spent a total of 5 minutes on it so far. I didn't even realize the TG1860 was heavier, I'm glad you posted that chart!

Interesting... it is nearly 1 mph faster (forward):
