fx285d questions

Guys, great forum and I look forward to learning more about my new purchase. I have a fx285d. My question concerns a lever next to the 4x4 engage lever and the differential lock pedal. Does anyone have this on their tractor and know its function? Some threads and dealer mentioned "tighter turns", but I don 't see how it could function for this and it seems to be linked to the transmission/4x4. Thanks.

The lever next to the 4x4 is a quick turn lever. and the other lever is a creep gear.
Engage it, and it puts your main range lever on your left in #2.

Then try driving the tractor & turning real sharp, you will notice how sharp it turns.
Good luck the F285-D is a great machine, I have an FX335-D and I love it.

The Koyker 155 loader fits it like a glove with the fx42 mount.

Have driven Ernie's tractor with the quick steer option. Does make a big difference. I think what is happening is the rear drive is disconnected and tractor becomes front wheel only drive.

If you have any real tight spots to traverse, this option does the trick. Being front drive only, this is not for use when doing the heavy work IMO.
