Future Price of Diesel

/ Future Price of Diesel #41
I just paid almost 3.90 galon for off road diesel, HHO was about 3.50 gallon. The price was up almost 20 cents in in one week. In CT on and off road diesel are both ULSD with the off road diesel dyed red, there is no LSD for vehicles. HHO is still at 3000 ppm sulfur, but this is supposed to change to 500 ppm this summer and go to ULSD shortly after. Im sure we will see a price increase in HHO for this change.

That is a dumb argument.

Did your employer, or it's customers, pay for your house?

But have you ever heard of a consumer Tax loophole, and do know anyone that has one?

Exxonmobil has one of the biggest loophole out there.

Businesses add increased costs to their product, otherwise they go out of business.

I owned rental properties, the city raised taxes...........I had 2 choices, raise the rent, or take a pay cut myself. Which do you think I chose?

Do you know of businesses that have their prices set for them? You then choose to either produce at that price or not produce. Raising rent doesn't get you anywhere if you can't get that rate.

My supplier can give quote on the price of diesel in general he says its gunna go up.... thats just how it is. For the dozens of farmers around here, they cannot just raise the price of wheat, garbanzo beans or peas they grow to off-set fuel prices. Subsidies is the govnmt's answer to that.... just throw money at it.

Same with timber companies. With the lumber market in the tank, contracts half to be met for suppling harvested timber to the mills via, logging companies, then lumber to stores such as home depot or lowes when they need it at lower economy prices plus every aspect of the proses dealing with and paying the high off road fuel prices..... Minus the govnmt's subsidies crutch

Three years ago off-road diesel hit $3.50 a gallon... Any one remember that??

Im still at a loss as to why we need to be so dependent on off-shore petro when we have better drilling, refining and bio-fuel potential right here... and DIRELY need the jobs and petro to boot....

I blame the EPA and its supporters mostly....'government' The laws and limitations are darn near such that we cannot do nothing that might make dust or create muddy water, create a hole, smash a blade of grass or harvest the 98% dead stands of timber on federal ground anymore.

I have absolutely no clue what you are trying to say here.

But with that said, when the price of steel rises........you pay more for anything made of steel......all price increases are passed on to the consumer. That's just standard business practices.

If you are operating a business, you must maintain a certain profit margin, or you go out of business. If the government raises your taxes, you must raise prices to consumers, any cost increases associated with your business must be passed on. Or you eventually go bankrupt.

Wow.

Oil is a commodity, like corn. It is priced on the markets. The oil company like the farmer doesn't decide what he going to charge for the commodity.

They either figure out how to produce it for the going rate or they won't produce it at all.
