I own a JD 4110. I had a dying battery and in the process of jump starting the tractor, it appears that I have blown a fuse in the fusible link? I think it is a fusible link, however I could be wrong. The manual makes no mention of these fuses. It looks pretty straight forward. There are 3 x 40 amp fuse cartridges in line. The top and bottom fuses are male and the middle is female. The female fuse pulls right out, however the male fuse that is blown won't pull out. I pulled on the cartridge and the small plastic box that houses the fuse pulled off and left the two male prongs in the fuse box. I tried removing the prongs with needle nose pliers, but they won't come out. I thought they should have come out with as hard as I pulled, but I didn't pull too hard because I didn't want to break anything. Is there some trick to replacing these fuses? If they should just pull out then I'll go back pull a lot harder. I'd just like some confirmation that that is the case. The manual makes no mention of replacement of these fuses.

Sorry I missed this last night...I have a 4110 and cannot picture where these "fuses" are...the only ones I know about are regular automotive style blade fuses on the right side next to the fuel tank. Please get me a picture and i will track it down in my FSM for you.
