While mowing this weekend, I felt a funny vibration in my new BX25 with only about 6 hours on it. I have owned a bx2200 in the past and am semi familiar with these tractors. The new BX25 feels like the 54 MMM is rubbing on the rear tires when the tractor gets on uneven ground. Level ground is fine. It's not the blades hitting anything. But when I look down at the MMM, it seems to be spaced evenly away from the rear tires with an 1 1/2 to 2 inch clearance in both sides. I don't see any wear marks on the rear tires like something was rubbing on them, but that's sure what it feels like. Any thoughts? Thanks for any advice.

Is it vibrating with blades engaged. Is it vibrating with the mmm up or down. While looking under it are all blades tight with nothing wrapped around any of them or bent or cracked. Check your PTO shaft. Is the belt tight with out any chunks missing.

Imagine running a stick quickly over the rear tire treads. That's the kind of "vibration" I am talking about. It's not a really fast vibration like you would expect with fast spinning drive shafts or blades. I noticed it when the MMM was down and mowing. Guess I need to drive it on uneven ground tomorrow night while not mowing and the MMM all the way up.

I had a vibration a the first summer I had my machine. I found a rock stuck between the mower belts. Not sure if you belt is the same as mine. But
my belt is slit in the middle. I could only feel the vibration a lower deck speed but maybe you could have a bigger rock stuck in yours. Just something to check.

Here's what I've discovered. Yesterday while mowing while the tractor was tilted on a hill, right side high and left low, it started the vibration again. So I shut the mower off. Still vibrating. Seems like the motor is vibrating when tilted for some reason. Seems like a motor mount maybe? Motor doesn't run any different...just vibrating when tilted. Still feels like the mower was hitting the tires but its not. Thanks for any suggestions.

I felt the same thing the other day while mowing my ditch sideways .I didn't cut off the mower and as soon as I leveled out it stopped. Will try stopping mower next time But I don't have a clue as to why you can feel it or what is doing it:confused3:

Bx2670,

So when tilted, it felt like the MMM was hitting the tires? And then once leveled off, it stopped? That's what happened to me. I stopped the mower and got off and popped the hood and saw the engine vibrating a little...but nothing serious I didn't think. I couldn't imagine what made it vibrate so oddly. Again, glad to hear any suggestions and opinions. Thanks.

My new BX2670 did the same thing I thought it was something wrong in the front axle. The dealer found out the motor mount was rubbing on frame.
