Kabota mx5100
While refueling, the nozzle and cap fell off into the tank of my new kabota xm 4700. I attached a pic of a similar cap and nozzle. Any thought on the urgency for removing the cap and nozzle and any idea as to how to go about such an endeavor would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Put the one in the picture in water and see if it floats. Either way it would be OK is my thought. It is not the first time it has happened and yet to hear of a case where a plastic cap caused any issues but I am sure there is a first time.

There is a flexible tool that you push with your thumb that opens on the end. Don't know the name of said tool, but you should be able to find one at your local hardware store. Just fish around till you feel it and let go of the thumb and hope you grab it the first time. Good Luck

It should float.... continue filling until you are near full and wait for it to float by... of course, you may have to adjust the tractors position to get it to float toward you.... If it just absolutely WONT come out, forget about it..... it will still be there when the gas tank is dug up by "grave robbers" a thousand years from now!!!..
