exactly what I posted fireman Pat! THough the site lost it. But yeah, an exterior shut off would be good if I could figure out a way of not having it be able to turn on the pump. I figure the QC would serve in an emergency though.
I've got the pump rigged up to a wall switch (has to have its own breaker for initial load). I'm going to switch it out for a bathroom fan timer (20 amp) so the pump will only stay on 10 minutes max - I already left it on once, which is clearly not good for it.
Spaghetti water pipe
I was wondering whether someone would ask about that. I'm very proud of it, though its not pretty looking. Basically, I put a slave side store hot water heater on my current side store to double the capacity. Plumbed it with pex and left extra loops so I could push the second hot water heater around without disconnecting something if necessary - pump it dry and I can push it around half the basement.
Could have done it with unions of course, but pex was a lot easier. And cheaper.
I'll find out what the model of the fill-rite is, but its pretty much the obvious 110 choice, whatever that was.
I've been really pleased with the way I plumbed it. Drain back works better than expected. And when it comes time to change the filter, I'm sure the various ball valves will come in handy
