Hello again and thanks for all the info, already given to me...
I just have question.....I've been running MF tractors for the last 9years...and use the same fuel (heating oil) for both heating and in tractors...have had 2 different tractors.
I have never had a problem, using the oil out of the same tank...
But now I am moving and also wanting to buy a Kioti Tractor and was wondering if I can do the same thing, with a Kioti tractor?....
both mf tractors had perkins engines in them and they never gave a bit of problem. Thanks Mike

I've been using a high sulfer off road diesel, which is really just heating oil. There won't be any problem, but if you get high sulfer (not so much chance of that now that they're changing) I would change the oil more frequently, at 50 hours as the sulfuric acid content of the oil gets higher with that fuel.

It's time for me to get more fuel and I don't know if the same high sulfer is available. I saved about $.50/gallon the last time by not having to pay the taxes. That was a 100 gal. min.

I also bought what was labeled as "high sulfur" off road diesel dyed red at my local fuel depot at a 40 cent per gallon savings. I filled 2 barrels half way so that I could move them and use an 11$ HF rotary barrel pump to fill up jerry cans for filling the tractor. My fuel depot had no minimum purchase amount but their one condition was that I filled a tank or barrel, their super high speed nozzles won't fit into jerry cans and I think they wanted to avoid the associated spills and mess from a bunch of goons filling cans.

I had been using onroad diesel for st least 100 hours and noticed no difference at all when switching to off-road, red, high sulfur, tax free diesel. Oh, the one difference is the very red color of the fuel filter and the money I saved.

I also use PS fuel additive from walmart added to each jerry can.

500 ppm diesel should still be available today. Starting June 1 the bulk distribution facilities will only be receiving ULSD from the refineries. Starting September 1 they can only ship ULSD to retailers. This applies to dyed and undyed fuel oil.
