Fuel System/Injector Cleaners

If it makes you feel good about the care then it is doing SOME good, but as far as the engine, I doubt it does anything of value. In the 70's when injected engines first came out, I think you pretty much had to have the injectors cleaned but the gas companies finally caught up to the technology by mid 70's early 80's and since then I think it has not been necessary.

I've used bottles of Chevron Techron fuel additive several times to cure rough running fuel injected engines. It's an excellent additive , and you can trust the Chevron name. I used to be in the petroleum additives business, and aftermarket additives vary widely in composition . Some are a lot better than others. Premium grade fuels have a higher octane rating, but also contain higher concentrations of so called " multi-functional additives". If you usually buy low octane fuels, like I do, you may need an occasional bottle of fuel additive. It can be a cheap tune-up.
I also use some top cylinder oil in my fuel ( such as Marvel Mystery Oil) if I'm using gasoline that's been sitting around for over a year. The Techron probably has some top cylinder oil in it already, but a little extra is ok.

Of course I know nothing about that now-a-days, but it reminds me of when my Dad owned a Texaco service station in 1956. I don't know how many of you are old enough to remember when Texaco had Fire Chief (regular) and Sky Chief (ethyl) gasoline. But when the state inspector came to routinely check the accuracy of our pumps and to take a sample to see that we had the right gas in the right pump, he said he would never use Texaco's Sky Chief; said it was higher octane but would do things such as foul plugs quicker. He said it amounted to the same thing as putting a little kerosene in your gas. Of course I don't know whether he was right or not.
