Here's some pics of a repair I did on a case 580sle fuel sender. The fault was the sender failing to send a valid signal to the gauge. The fault was the wiper wearing through the wires on potentiometer in the middle range. I removed the broken wires and installed a fine strand of nickel plated fine wire strand. I soldered the new wire strand in and glued with super glue to seperate each wire.
Tested unit and works quite well cost me 30 mins in time to remove repair and reinstall and test. Better than 400 for a new one
