Oil & Fuel Fuel Leaks and just what's been happening to my MF 150

To those of you who have followed the saga of my machine I have some good news and some bad. I managed to get the air leak problem solved to the point where I started the engine. That took a new fuel lift pump and some wrangling with the fuel lines and bushings that went into it. Another issue was this crazy nut that required a crowfoot wrench set at an angle to tighten. Of course that still left me stuck in the mud. Fortunately my neighbor had a jeep and gave me a budge. That's all the good news.

The bad is that she won't run consistently under a lot of torque and I found a new problem: I have a leak in the fuel injector where the throttle linkage is located. I've found a couple of places that describe how to fix that so that's my next project but I wanted to know if that indeed would introduce air into the injector. I know that may sound like a dumb question but after all this time I'm trying to chase down just where that air is coming from and if that is simply a leak in a different part of a chamber not related to fuel supply to the unit, well, just want to make sure. It seems to make sense because it only leaks when engaging the throttle and only stops after doing so but you know I want to get her running and I can live with some small leaks.
