On my tc18 the fuel gauge is stuck at full. When the ignition is turned off
the needle goes to empty but goes back to full when turned on even tho
fuel is very low.

What should I check to correct this?

Thanks

If it uses a float system.. can you peer in to see if it is actually stuck 'up'.

My 24 was delivered w/ the problem you're describing. The solution was to snag the tank float w/ a wire hook to free it. IIRC the tech opened the tank (fill top) and inserted the hook toward the aft of the tractor along the its axis. I think if you gently feel around in the tank youll find the float easily enough. He left the hook in case the problem recurred, which it didnt. So not having done it myself I cant give better directions than this.

Thanks for the replies...I will check out the float probe tomorrow.
Or should I say probing for the float.
