Oil & Fuel Fuel filtr stuck

How do you unscrew the fuel filtr? I am not able to turn it - didnt try too hard yet, since the housing looks like zinc and I am afraid it is gonna brake.

Proly not a good idea to heat it up with a torch?

I do not know about your Kubota, but I am assuming you mean the housing so that you can get to the fuel filter?

But in either case I would try a strap wrench. Those are handy little tools to have around.

If that fails I like your heat idea, and depending on if your want a new house or shop do it inside and you can get new everything! Just make sure your insurance is paid up.

Yes, I mean the housing, should be simple, but it does not move a fraction of an inch.

Ok.. Im going to ask a dumb question since I am not sure exactly how its made.. Are you turning it the correct direction??

I know when I take the oil filter off my truck 2002 Dodge w/ cummins - Im looking at the filter housing from the top and i have to think about which way im suppose to turn it to get it off. For some reason because im looking down on the filter I want to turn it the wrong way.

Unscrews in a counter clockwise direction and yes they can be ungodly tight. I have twisted oil and fuel filters into pretzels before they were so tight. Can't say I have ever broken a filter housing.

Thanks, I will give it more elbow power I just dont want to complicate my life by searching for new housing.

If it's the factory installed filter they often are very tight. I think they have 800 pound gorilla's install them at the factory.

Tractor has close to 1200 hours on it, I dont expect it to be the original, but you never know.

Gotta find some 800 monkey for me now

Any pics? Most housings I've seen have a bolt running thru them (thinking Farmall oil filter housing). Are you saying you just have a housing shaped like a spin on filter, with the filter underneath that? The strap wrench sounds like a good idea, may need cheater pipe for that little "extra" persuasion (if you can't find your 800lb monkey).
