Fuel cut of solenoid

Anyone know where to get one. I found them at the Massey place here for 250 bucks but thought i could find one cheaper. I got it working now just can kill it out with the switch. Uncle works on them and came and cut the little shaft off and crunk right up. Btw it's a 1533 mf. Woodward fuel solenoid. Model 1503esscl. Part num sa-5190-12. Serial 2514166. Then has vdc12 on it.

I replaced the solenoid on my L5030HTC with a manual cable. I got a choke cable from TSC for about $15 and mounted it through the firewall.

I just had the same problem with my Massey 1533. I replaced mine with a fuel solenoid from LarryB's. It was a replacement for a woodward 1503es part number as-4569t with serial number12a5uc5s. It was for kubota John Deere and other compact tractors. I could not find the exact one for the mf1533 so I took my chance with this one and it worked. I found it on amazon for 43.56 plus 7.99 shipping. Came to 51.55 and received it in 4 days. Keep your old gasket or get some gasket paper to make your own cause the new solenoid did not come with a gasket. I also found similar solenoid on eBay for 20 bucks but they were coming from China and would take a month or two to get it. I hope this helps you. I just put mine in this evening and it fired right up with no leaks ans shut off just as smooth as the original did.

I know this thread is a few years old but for those of us having gone through this problem recently, there's new info out about this issue:

My Massey 1533 has a factory solenoid part #6242128M1 (the solenoid is a Woodward SA-5190-12) which costs anywhere from $245 to $345. If you want to buy the cheap one that fits a Kubota, it's part# SA-4569T for $14.86 and free shipping on eBay or LarryB's also sells the cheap one for $29.99 plus shipping.

The problem is that it overheats and burns up in minutes because of the current going to it. It'll fit great and work but it overheats and burns up.

This is the information LarryB's is telling those of us who want to use the cheap one on the Massey 1533 :
"When using this solenoid on Massey Ferguson 1533 Serial# JVA95201 or lower, an adapter must be used in the circuit to prevent solenoid overheating. Massey Ferguson 1533 Serial# JVA95202 or higher do not require this adapter. This adapter re-routes the power for the white wire on the solenoid to be powered by the glow plug circuit to allow the power to turn off correctly after starting."

The Massey harness is part# 6258743M91 and may be available through your Massey parts dealer. but it's hard to find a dealer who stocks it. I found it online after hours searching for $76.89 plus shipping at Lindstrom Equipment.

If my tractor were newer or under warranty I'd probably buy the harness but since my tractor is 16 years old I just rewired the white wire myself and was done.

I made a short video of what i did in case anyone needs more details on how to use a $15 solenoid instead of the $350-$400 massey OEM solenoid. You just need the $15 solenoid, a #5 allen wrench, and some Permatex gasket maker (or pay $9 plus shipping for the gasket). These are pictures and the video is here :
