Not sure if this the right place for this, if not I'm sure it will get moved. I used my BX2369 to clear a little bit of land to plant some fruit trees. To start, I will be planting 2 Shiro plum trees. They will be about 20-25 ft apart so I am not concerned about the pollinators.

My question is this, will 2 Shiro plums pollinate each other? From what I have read, I will need another type of plum to pollinate. Is this true? Or will I get fruit from these 2 trees?

A few state that you might see some pollination between Shiro plums but it would be best to add another Asian plum that flowers at the same time to get maximal pollination and fruit set.

That's kind if what I thought. The trees are pretty young still so I doubt if I will get any friut this year.
