Hi
Just a note to let you all know that it was 36 degrees here in Michigan when I woke up this morning at 5am. Tonight will be even cooler and we have a possibility of frost.
Those of you in warmer climates be grateful and enjoy your outside garden while you can..... anyone got a recipe for green tomato marmelade?

Holy smokes Bill! 36 degrees! I hope you're from way up in Northern, MI.

I'm in the southeast part of MI. I'm sure not ready to drag the frost blankets out yet. BRrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Mid-August and in the thirties? That's a little early isn't it?

We in Tennessee are now on our seventh day of 100 degree plus days. Yesterday it was 106. And on top of that we are in an extreme drought. No end to either within the foreseeable forecasts.

Haven't mowed in three weeks. The only grass that needs mowing is the grass over the septic drain field and along the woods on the back 40.

Wanna trade? :D

Well guys...way "UP" here in central Alberta we're still hovering around the double digits (10-14 C) overnight which is about 50F. But there is a certainly a hint of fall in the air.

We're only 3-4 weeks to our normal 1st. frost, but tonight will be close. It's nice to see the cooler weather coming, the heat is aweful to work in.

That's funny, every 5 years or so when it snows here I think that snow is awful to work in:eek:

Well...
No frost yet! It was warmer (39 degrees F) this morning. I decided to use the glow plugs to get the tractor to fire quickly.
Actually I'm in the lower peninsula, between Roscommon and Grayling. We seem to have some of the coldest weather in lower MI. The extension agent and I agree that we are a zone 3 microclimate. I have some peppers and tomatoes in the hoophouse so at least I do have a supply that won't be frozen out in the near future. We had a frost in July a few years back..
stay warm
