Only about 20 hrs on the new tractor and loving it so far! It was bugging me though that the front wiper was so small (14") and seemed like unless you were super tall, the wiper could be a lot lower (yes, I have the seat adjusted properly). I decided to cut 2" out of the wiper arm and reweld it and get an 18" wiper blade. The mod worked awesome and now the upper arc is the same but it reaches 4" lower and really works great. I touched everything up with some flat black paint and it looks like it came this way from the factory. 20200703_141458.jpg20200703_141547.jpg

Looks good!
I didn’t think I’d use the wipers (and washers) near as much as I actually do.

Interesting. I've been thinking about how to improve the wipers on my Kubota L4060, maybe by using longer blade front and rear. I also would like to add intermittent wipers, but I usually get turned off to the idea when I start shopping around.

That is a great cure. Another project on the must do list before winter.

Great mod. I have the same frame-size LS, and the wipers are maddeningly small. It drives me nuts when snowblowing, and even recently moving dirt in dry dusty conditions when I have to run them periodically so I can see through the sun glare created by the dust build up.
