Front wheels on Ford 3000

My tires on my Ford 3000 are about 1/4" away from rubbing the king pin, can I mount the wheels backwards to gain clearence, without risking wheel failure?

It may have the wrong wheel or something is bent. The picture below is my Ford 3910. The brown area is just dirt sticking to grease.

Thanks for reply and pic. My 75 3000 seems to have a straighter king pin, yours is angled. I will post pic asap.
