Does anyone manufacture a pallet fork frame that can be mounted to a standard JD connection on the loader arms AND be mounted to the 3 point hitch? Buying them separately will cost in the neighborhood of $1000 each. I can't find anything from the factory ready for front AND rear mounting. I've found a few threads of folk who have made mods to a front fork frame, but nothing straight from the manufacturer. Seems foolish not to put a 3 point attachment on them since the forks typically are rated for at least double or triple what the FEL can lift. My 3520 can lift 1649# 1.5 meters off the ground 500 mm from the front pins. The 3 point can lift 2200# 2 feet from the pins.

I wanted something like the forks you are talking about, but after chasing it for a while I lost interest in it. Good idea though.

In my "good idea" note book, this winter I have been working on an adapter to attach to my JD, AP10Fx42 pallet forks on one side of a frame. Adding pieces one at a time to form a frame that the pallet forks will attach to.

On the other side of the frame, adding pieces to adapt to a cat 1, 3 point. This will be the cheapest way I can think of to get 3 pt pallet forks. Obviously I can't lift a pallet of firewood very high compared to the FEL. But the 3pt will lift so much more than the FEL..

My two way frame might give you some ideas on how to do it.

By having the forks that far forward you are losing most of what you gained by not having forks on the front of the FEL bucket like we all do. To make a significant weight gain the forks need to as close to the tractor frame as possible like the fork attachment for a skid loader.

I edited my previous post to clear up your confusion. No problem with 5x6 round bales:

The front bale is on my 6' pallet forks.

When I built my fork frame to attach to the JD loader arms, I considered also making it a three point attachment. It's definitely doable for the amateur fabricator. However, after considering it I decided the added complication didn't make sense and I would just make a separate dedicated three point frame if I thought I needed it. So far, it hasn't neared the top of the want list, in spite of the fact that I already have two sets of forks.

I've been working on building a loader mounted set of forks (been a 'few minutes here and there' project for 2 years, like most of my projects the wife shakes her head about) and this thread has me thinking how easy it would be at add 3PH points to it, and the versatility it would add. But, I'm building my own, so nothing to add that helps the OP and their quest for a factory built option.
