advice on front mount brush hog and tractor in 30 HP range ????

CUT tractors don't really excel in powering front mounted implements, particularly power hungry ones. Other than flail mowers, I've only seen front mount brush cutters on skid steers.

I have a BH on the SS and a flail and BH for the tractor. These machines are 2 very different animals with the same 50 hp. I can't imagine trying to manage a BH on the front of the tractor. The SS allows visibility for constant angle and elevation adjustments needed not possible on the front loader. IMHO
Other operating challenges may occur with the increased distance between the front wheels and the mower, in turns etc.
Plus the need for high flow hydraulics?

Ventrac, Steiner, and Power-Trac all make articulating tractors with front mount mowers and brush cutters.

If you had a mid PTO it might be possible to power a front mount mower similar to front mount snow blower

Consider the added weight on the tractors front axle that's not designed for such use.

Some compact tractors offer front mount PTO setups for driving implements like snow blowers. And some flail mower companies make front mounted mowers.

There's also mowers like the Lane Shark and similar that run off a normal CUT's hydraulic system and mount on the SSQA on the loader. They are limited in power because they use the aux hydraulic circuit but depending on the use that might be ok.

3 point hydraulic power pack and/or
Why not mechanical drive with quick tach like used on factory snow blower or broom.

Hydraulic maybe if you want to lift it way up but on a CUT without a cab you would get crap thrown at you.

And you would be driving over whatever you cut, grass ok but brush?

You certainly could with the right parts and fab skills or (depending) you could buy one.
Hydraulic power unit to run hydraulic motor on mower. I wasn't exactly considering Lift style/type/etc.

On a typical CUT there isn't enough hydraulic flow to push a front mounted cutter. Lane Shark may make one that would work, but I'd be wary of balance on a smaller CUT.

I have seen a sickle mower that will attach to your bucket. No idea how well it works, but it is intriguing. It would run on 30HP machines and isn't as heavy as a cutter.

Is there a particular reason you don't want a 3pt hitch/PTO powered one?

Flail mowers work well on smaller machines if you get the size right.

Yes, what's your interest in having a front mount cutter?

If it's just cutting grass, both John Deere and Kubota make front mount mower/tractors like the Kubota F3710, etc.

IMO its the weight not size, especially if you buy a side-shift unit.

I think size tends to be an analog for weight. The width is important, too as it affects the balance.

I have a side-shift on my T574. I wouldn't recommend one on a smaller machine.

Machine size is important here too (frame and weight). A 3015 has a bigger frame than many 30 HP SCUTs. A wide stance can be a life-saver.
