Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I was out of town. The 2000 series loaders have excellent down pressure. They are well-suited for digging. You need to be a little careful with them though. They are pretty much the same loader you would find on an equivalent IH backhoe. As such, you can get into loads that would potentially damage the agricultural front axel.
