I have a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 300 2WD.

There is a plug right beside my pull crank, looks like a flathead screw but about the size of a quarter, looks like a oil fill location.

Does anyone know what it is? gear/clutch oil??? only thing is I dont see where any drain plugs are for that area, only the engine oil drain plug. I changed the gear oil in my rear end, but curious as to what this plug is??

Thanks

It may be a cover for the clutch adjustment. Nothing else in that engine but motor oil. Usually only a single drain plug on the bottom.

if i'm not mistakin thats where you line up your timing marks.you remove the little scew plug thing your describing and inside will be the flywheel and you will be able to see the timeing marks when you pull the crank rope.atleast thats how my trx125 was.
