Front End Loader Problem

I have a Kubota L2250 tractor with a ? front end loader, sorry I don't know the model #, its up at the ranch. My problem is that all at once the roll and dump feature stopped working. The raise and lower feature works fine. We tool the spool valve apart, cleaned it and replaced a broken o ring but that did not fix the problem. The cylinders are not bent. Any suggestions as to what the problem is? Thanks, Jay

I presume if you are skilled enough to take the spool valve apart that you double checked that the hydraulic line connections are secure. When brush pulls the lines out it can cause these symptoms.

You know we checked the adjustment screw at the quick connect box, but I don't know if we actually checked the line connections. Thanks for the reply.

The o-ring probably tore when you pulled the spool out. See if you have flow to the cylinder and go from there. When you have a hydraulic problem, don't just start ripping stuff apart. Troubleshoot it. Hydraulics need flow and restriction to operate. Find out where you are losing your flow and/or restriction and you find the problem. My bet is one of 2 things. One is that the nut came off of the cylinder rod and the flow is going right past the piston. 2nd is the q.d. came loose. Let's hope for #2.

Thanks, I will check that out. Hopefully it is the Quick Connect Hose, as I was pushing brush when it occured.

I'd say one of the Q disconnects is bad.
