Front End Loader leak down on Case maxxxm

/ Front End Loader leak down on Case maxxxm #11
had my bucket cylinders leak down pretty fast and after taking them apart found the locknut holding the pistons on the rod had backed off and had about 1/8 in play on the rod so oil was leaking between the rod and piston. tightened the locknuts down added some wicking grade loctite and its like new, no leakdown problems.
isolating the problem is as easy as seperating the loader from the tractor, SUPPORT loader in the raised position and disconect hoses if loader stays where you put it after removing the supports your issue is in the tractor valving, if things bleed down to equalize the pressure on both sides of the cylinder of the loader (drop alittle bit then stop after the pressure equalized) its a loader issue. you may have to support the loader to get the hoses hooked up again after the test (to equalize pressure)

Sounds like an acident waiting to happen.

I personally wouldn't want to be the one to "remove" to support/blocking and let that thing drop several inches all at once like that.

support it from the top with a chain hoist, best way to to hook up the hoses when done ,works for me all the time!
