Front End Hydraulic Snow Blower

Help Please,

I have a Massey 1210 tractor with a 48" loader. I have had this idea in my head to use modify a 48" snowblower from a garden tractor, mount it to my loader arms and power it from an auxilary hydraulic pump and motor driven by my front pto. I have been reading several post here of some similar projects and before I go buy what I think would be the correct Pump,Tank,Motor equiptment, I was hoping a hydraulic expert could help me with the feasability and sizing.

Several Particular Questions:
1. Pump Size given tractor ratings?
2. Motor Size given suggested pump size?
3. Do I need a relief valve?
4. Do I need a control valve or simply the PTO on/off engage of tractor
5. Can I supply the fluid from taking of the tractor hydraulics?

Before I just go buy a bunch of stuff, I would be great to hear what your suggestions are before I spend some money!

You may want to repost this on the hydraulics page. If your tractor has a forward facing power take off, you might want to consider a shaft drive. I gave up on a design and went with a rear blower.
