Picked up my B2650 yesterday at Barlows with my new HD25 Landpride posthole digger and 12" auger installed. Have to keep the bucket high to move around! I augered it into the ground and had other things I had to do so not much time with it and it's wet, wet, wet here.
The concern....It mounts to bucket with 4 bolts and then the first pivoting connection has a cotter pin bent on the ends. The next connection also has a bent cotter pin holding it on. The plate with the 4 bolts attaching to the bucket seems like it could stay on while using the bucket but the rest of it has to come off or will be packed with dirt/gravel/? that the bucket is working. The first pin appears to be the place to remove the PHD while not using it but owners manual says to install pin and bend the ends?
Anyone own a front bucket side installed hydraulic post hole digger? If so, How do you easy remove/install it? I will remove the 4 bolts or unbend the cotter pin to do it but wondering about other peoples actual experience doing theirs. I'm considering mounting the 4 bolted plate to the front of my SSQA adapter plate and use the PHD straight off the front instead of off the side of my bucket which is the manuals recommended way to use it on a skid steer. I already have a plate which I have my snow plow hooked to but plan to use snow plow on RTV1140 which doesn't use the adapter plate for connection.
OK, you that have one and used it tell me your method.:anyone:
