front axle seals ck 30 hst

front axle outer seal failure bearing failure. is this common?

Approximately 800 hours on my CK30hst and no problem with those seals or bearings. I don't remember anybody posting that theirs has failed. There were a few DK40 and 45s that have had problems but not many.

My r/front axle seal started to leak a few month back on my ck30hst. I ordered the seals from the dealer and then took the housing apart. Come to find out the axle bearing was bad and that took out the seal. I didn;t have a bearing and went to the local Ford/New Holland dealer and they had the bearing in stock, saved me a lot of running around
