front axle lube change

when changing the lube in the front axle on my dk35 it took about 2 hours to get all the gear oil out. the reason for this is the drain holes are small. even with the filler plugs removed it still took 2 hours. it was warmed up too. good thing you don't have to change it often but when you do get it going first so you can do something else while its draining.

thanks for the tip. is there a second plug so air can enter?

yea but i had it off and it didn't make any difference.

You could lightly pressurize it with an air compressor. Not too much though, it would be bad to have to replace seals just to save an hour or 2.
