Front axle hairline crack

I'm a bit worried to see a tinge of oil leaking from the front axle in what appears to be a tiny crack. What would you guys do in a situation like this to prevent it from getting worse?

yup it is.

There are a couple members here that have great success with welding cast iron. Yomax 4, George Miller.

It looks like i can see Ridge detail from a Thumb or finger print. Did someone try to fix this with JB weld it looks like the crack is a 1/4" wide either ground and filled. It definitely looks like someone tried to cover up a defect in the axle

Yeah good observation I noticed that too but didn't know what to make of it.. Doesn't seem like it was fixed but does look like the part of the original fab.. JB weld that strong???

It hard to tell if it's a crack or casting flaw?
