It's possible. I haven't seen anything with specific numbers of tornadoes, but along the Texas/Mexico border (about 460 miles south of here) there were 10 people killed and a large number injured according to the newspaper. There was wind damage (from tornado or straight line; not sure which) in this area, but I haven't heard of anyone injured.

Bird,

I heard on the news this morning that Lake Lewisvile picked up a little over a foot of water from all that rain. Now, it's only 2.5 feet low.

Glad you made it through all that yesterday alright!! Got real interesting, real quickly!! We had periods of very heavy rain out here, but no hail and no tornadoes We lucked out!

I called the wife and I could hear the warning horns over the phone. she said a bunch of peaple were standing out in the street looking at the sky? what is it about when that horn blows that they all run outside?? I gota move. jb

People are curious and we really don't believe most of the "alerts" I'm afraid. And I'm as guilty of that as anyone. My city (Corinth) has their "Code Red - Emergency Communications Network" for which you can sign up and then you'll get a telephoned, recorded message for "emergency situations and/or critical community alerts. Examples include: evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, and missing child reports." So I signed up for it quite some time ago, and yesterday my grandson and I were shooting pool when my wife came in to tell us she'd just gotten the message to take cover on both the home and cell phones. We told her to go ahead and we went on shooting pool.

Amon Carter looked full to the top last week, I've never seen it that high.

But compared to Lake Lewisville, that's kinda like a thimble-full next to a bathtub isn't it?;) :D

Well, I know who Amon Carter was, but I didn't even know there was a body of water with that name.

Eddie, our rain guage only holds 5 inches and it quickly overflowed. I don't know how much we got but Aubrey about 17 miles away got 10 inches.

My tank is finally full, but the new house is fine. It will be a while before they can pour the driveway however.
