Friesen Trailer with wooden deck

I bought a new Friesen trailer and is thinking about putting wood stain on the deck . Question is it a good or bad idea ? My old trailer is a metal open deck type so I wanted one a little heavier with a woodden deck . Thanks

Stain it with diesel fuel and used engine oil. 25% fuel and 75% oil.

I do the same but only used oil ran in diesel engines. Has more carbon in it that gives it a jet black color.

I have a 28' GN I was going to do with used oil and diesel but was concerned about slipperiness and tracking onto shoes then going into the house. I don't know it that is a legitimate concern or not. I will watch this thread and maybe an answer will pop up.

2or so weeks in the sun and you won't get anything off of it.

Not slippery at all.
